What is a literary exam?

A literature test is a report on what has been published on a topic of accredited scholars and researchers. Occasionally, they are prompted to write a separate task, but more often, it is part of the introduction to an essay, the research report or work. • How good was my information looking for? Was my search far enough to make sure I have found all relevant material? Was it tight enough to exclude irrelevant material? Is the number of sources I appropriate for the length of my paper?
• I have critically analyzed the literature I use? Let's follow through a number of concepts and questions by comparing objects to the way that deals with them? Instead of listing and summarizing, do I judge them, I discuss, discuss, to strengthen strengths and weaknesses?
• I quoted and discussed studies against my point of view?
• Will the reader be relevant to my literature review, find appropriate and useful?

Ask questions like this about every book or article you included:

• did the author formulate a problem / question?
• it is clearly defined? Is its meaning (scope, heavy, relevance) clearly established?
• could the problem be more effectively addressed by another perspective?
• What is the research orientation of the author (eg interpretation, critical science, combination)?
• What is theoretical framework of the author (eg psychological, development, feminist)?
• What is the relationship between the theoretical and the research perspectives?
• Does the author evaluated the literature relevant to the problem? Does the author include literature that record positions, is not you right?
• In a research study are the basic components of the study design (eg population, intervention, result)? How exactly and valid are the measurements?Is the analysis of the data exactly and relevant to the research question? Are the conclusions valid on the data and analyzes?
• In material written for a popular readership, the author breathes the meetings of emotions, unilateral examples or rhetorically charged language and sound. Is there an objective basis for the argumentation or is the author only what he or she already believes?
• How does the author structured the argument? Can you "deconstruct" the flow of argument to see if or where you can collapse logically (eg, in determining cause effect relationships)?
• How to contribute this book or an item to our understanding of the problem examined and how is it useful for practice? What are the strengths and restrictions?
• How does this book or an article refers to the specific thesis or the question I develop?
