beyond the coursework, which is common to all major Majors in psychology, the health psychology major has two required courses. One is a proseminar in health psychology and the other is a course in health psychology biological bases. These are accompanied by election seminars selected from a series of options. In addition, the majors in health psychology visit the lecture series once a week during the autumn and winter quota for 3 years. The health psychology faculty members keep weekly laboratory meetings with graduate students in which an important training experience is collected above and outside the individual research supervision and course work.

The superordinate goal of the health psychology laboratory is to provide health psychology faculty and students with a plant to collect, processing and assess biological samples. The Health Psychology Lab contains facilities for running compartments through experimental and non-experimental protocols involving a collection of biological samples preparing these samples for analysis and performing biological assays.
